I am a Doctoral Researcher (PhD Candidate) at the Institute for Sustainable Futures, University of Technology Sydney.
My research is about ‘Social Sustainability in Biodiesel Production- Brazil and Timor-Leste’ – I spent most of 2010 interviewing farmers about their experiences of participating in government biodiesel programs that aimed to increase social inclusion.
My research is transdisciplinary, qualitative, cross-cultural, multi-lingual and constantly evolving.
I made some short doco’s from my research- you can find them on Vimeo. I’m also on Twitter @sarinakilham and I have some public library groups on Mendeley if you are interested in biodiesel (I’ll figure out how to add those widgets later).
As a day job, I work as a Researcher on a project focused on Promoting the Inclusion of People with Disabilities in Disaster Risk Reduction in Indonesia – if you are interested about this topic, please email me.
